<p>Chapter meetings are used to discuss the various happenings within the organization, including project updates and event planning.  The meeting concludes with a social hour over pizza.   Please join us if you can!</p>
<p>This month,<strong> <span style="color: #008000;">Dr. Paul Brandt-Rauf</span></strong>, Dean of the School of  Public Health at UIC, will give a presentation.  In addition, <span style="color: #008000;"><strong>Aaron  Neuman</strong></span> speak about his mentoring trip with the Vanderbilt  Student Chapter to Peru for a water/well project. <p><strong> Location Change: </strong>We will meet at the <strong>WEST  CAMPUS</strong>,<strong> School of Public Health</strong> Building of UIC at <strong>1603 W. Taylor Street</strong>. This is not the main campus where we usually have our meetings.  There is a parking garage across the street from the school at Taylor and Marshfield. If you are taking public transportation there is a Pink Line stop at  Polk Street (and Pauline- walk south from the CTA exit on Paulina one block to Taylor and  take a left).</p>

The Fair is a family event with entertainment for children and adults, as well as several informative presentations on converting biomass to energy, beekeeping, rainwater harvesting, the smart grid, organic lawn care, organic farming and others.   In the past there was participation from local renewable energy contractors, including some of our own EWB-USA CPC members.</p>

On the air for seven years now, the  Series continues to be inspirational, and bringing everyone together for  this Expo has quickly become an annual event.</p>
<p>Doors open at  noon on Saturday and stay open until 6 pm; <strong>it’s FREE</strong> – so bring your  classes, your children, your neighbors, your friends and family.</p>
<p>Last  year over 3,500 people attended the Expo – this year we&#8217;re expecting  more!  This year&#8217;s festivities will include a <strong>Performance Stage</strong>, curated  by Lethal Poetry, Inc. where the amazing talent associated with many of  these organizations will be performing for you alongside remarkable  Chicago talent; there will be a variety of <strong>food for sale</strong> from local ethnic restaurants; <strong>presentations</strong> will be  made by various organizations throughout the day, so that you can better  learn what they do and how you can get involved; and <strong>this year  we&#8217;re adding volunteer opportunities</strong> as part of the festivities  so you can actually get involved right on the spot (check back soon for  a complete list of what we have planned!).</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="color: #000000;">The Rotary District 6440 has invited our EWB chapter to be part of their annual conference.  This is an exciting opportunity to interact with many of our biggest supporters. </span><span style="color: #000000;">Approximately 400 Rotarians from clubs throughout north and west suburban Chicago and northern Illinois will be in attendance.  We will have have a booth, speak to Rotarians about our projects, and book speaking engagements. </span></p>
